Cunard Residences reimagines a historic piece of Halifax’s waterfront, transforming the Cunard Block into a vibrant mixed-use community. We’ve transformed what was once an underused stretch of boardwalk into a dynamic place for living, gathering, and connecting, bringing new energy to the southern end of the Harbour Walk.
Situated at the intersection of Lower Water and Morris Streets, Cunard serves as a significant gateway to the Halifax Harbour Walk. Its design responds to the site’s natural slope and surrounding context, stepping back strategically to maintain view corridors and foster a pedestrian-friendly environment. The architecture unfolds as a journey: at street level, a curated mix of commercial, retail, and live-work spaces enlivens the public realm and the nearby Samuel Cunard Quay. Above, the 16-storey tower ascends with sweeping views, adding a respectful yet striking presence to the evolving skyline.
