The revitalization of Bow Valley Square consists of a complete transformation of a four-tower city block complex. We reimagined the property’s 1970s concrete podium that connects the development by replacing its aging façade with large glass storefronts and refreshed concrete. The addition of new entrance canopies, exterior lighting and upgraded signage increase the complex’s visibility and boost the vibrancy of the public realm.
As part of the first phase of development, we conducted an interior renovation of the podium’s retail levels. We upgraded the entry lobbies of three of the four towers as well the interior spaces of the ground, +15 and +30 levels. All flooring, walls and ceiling components were refurbished with minimal interference to the existing tenants. The +30 rooftop patio and at grade courtyard spaces were redesigned as tenant amenity and relaxation spaces. Overall, the revitalization improves the quality of urban life and strengthens pedestrian access at this critical city juncture.
The project has achieved LEED Gold for Commercial Interiors and won a Best Renovated Building award from BOMA’s Outstanding Building of the Year Awards 2012. Bow Valley Square, alongside our other successful urban regeneration projects such as Stephen Avenue Place, serve as proof of our dedication to delivering innovative solutions to changing market and environmental conditions.
