Design Thinking: The 1,300 seat Hammerson Hall, located at the heart of the complex, accommodates operas, ballets, symphonies, musicals, and a 400 seat community recital theatre. The Centre is equipped to operate as a broadcasting facility for arts programming and contains recording studios. A large urban park on the eastern edge of the site accommodates up to 5,000 people for outdoor arts-related activities. The 100-seat Rogers Theatre tops off the performance spaces.

Key Features: Located on a six-acre site north of City Hall, this innovative facility features a three-storey visual and digital arts wing that incorporates the entire spectrum of creative arts plus hands-on teaching and computer labs, practice rooms, exhibition spaces, offices and flexible-use rooms. The Centre’s unique facilities include digital arts and virtual reality studios and laser/holography production facilities.
