Announcing Mike Smith as Zeidler’s newest Principal—January 16, 2024
We are excited to recognize the appointment of Mike Smith to Principal! A reflection of Mike’s exceptional and long-standing dedication to the success and growth of Zeidler Architecture, this promotion represents another step in the evolution of our national leadership team.
Starting his career with Zeidler Architecture in 1987, Mike has since worked from coast to coast, across sectors and through all phases of project design and delivery. His hands-on leadership style is complemented by a cooperative approach, building strong working relationships among the Zeidler team, and with our clients and consultants.
Mike has played a pivotal role in numerous of our high-profile projects across Canada including the Meridian Arts Centre (formerly Toronto Centre for the Arts), The Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, Rogers Communications Headquarters , the Canadian Embassy in Seoul, Korea, and The Bow in Calgary. Mike has also played an enormous role in many of our more recent projects, some of which include Toronto Metropolitan University’s Student Learning Centre and new Science Building at 202 Jarvis, 2 Queen with Cadillac Fairview, and the Toronto Zoo Conservation Centre. Regardless the project, Mike consistently showcases not only technical expertise but also a keen sense of design innovation and creativity alongside his proven management skills.
