Queen's Quay Terminal

Toronto, Ontario

Design Thinking: Overlooking the Toronto harbourfront, this historic 1920s Terminal Warehouse Building was transformed into an active, year-round mixed-use project. The building houses two levels of retail and restaurants, a 450-seat theatre, one level of car parking above the retail and 390,000 square feet of office space which is visually connected to the retail space by an atrium. A subsequent addition also completed by our firm features 72 condominium units located on the roof of the building.

Key Features: The condominium units enclose a lavishly landscaped roof-top courtyard with a dramatic waterfall and bridge. The copper patina of the wall cladding echoes the roof of the building’s visual neighbour, The Royal York hotel. We have continued to modify the building, including renovations to create a more focused office development, including a new entrance and lobby. A greenhouse addition and a new food court were also provided.
