Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital, Stage Two + Planning Design and Compliance
Client: Mackenzie Health

As part of a major regional health system, the new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital is one of Infrastructure Ontario’s priority projects, to be delivered through a long-term design, build, finance and maintain (“DBFM”) arrangement.
Our team initially worked on the Stage 1 submission to the MOHLTC for the Richmond Hill site and then on the Stage 2 MOH submission for the Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital, and we are currently providing Planning Design and Compliance services (PDC) for the MVH project.
Located at Major Mackenzie Drive on the east side of Highway 400 and west of Jane Street, the new 11-storey, 1,200,000 s.f. hospital on the 50-acre greenfield site, will provide a comprehensive range of expanded and enhanced acute care services, including 24/7 Emergency services, medical/surgical and critical care beds, integrated stroke program inpatient services, obstetrics and pediatrics (inpatient and outpatient),peri-operative services diagnostics services, including interventional radiology and mental health services (inpatient and outpatient).
Stage 2 was submitted in early 2013 to the Province for approval. We developed with the Hospital the Illustrative Design and the required Project Specific Output Specifications (PSOS) documents to be issued as part of the RFP process in June 2015. We are now providing oversight and compliance review on the submissions of the three proponent teams as they progress through the RFP open period.
