Zeidler Partnership has been working with the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Palm Beach County’s premier cultural for 22 years on all phases of the project, large and small. Located on a prominent 5.4 acre site, the exterior of the original 201,000 sf facility features a vast bi-level copper roof while the interior has a 45-foot high glass-walled lobby with a white marble grand staircase to the upper tiers. The main theatre is the Dreyfoos Hall, which has 2,189 seats on five levels and a 100-foot high dome ceiling, capable of accommodating any type of presentation. A conventional horseshoe-shaped hall was modified to improve sightlines and acoustics. In total, Zeidler Partnership has designed more than 435,000 sf of facilities built to date and have master-planned the site to include a future 1,400 seat performance hall.
