Located on Hurontario Street, adjacent to the current Peel County courthouse, this 380,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility provides centralized accommodation for courts serving the Peel Region. It includes 34 courtrooms for provincial, general and family courts; eight motion rooms, administrative space and holding cells. One of the building’s many security features is the three-circulation system in which the public, the judges and the prisoners all enter the courtrooms from different access points. Compliance architect for this design build project is Webb Zerafa Menkes Housden Partnership. Zeidler Partnership Architects are the lead architects for the joint venture; having directed the design, planning and interior design.
